A simplification of the documentation required when establishing a legal entity

Since 1 January 2017 an entry on the register of companies and entrepreneurs is now the only document required to confirm the registration of a company or entrepreneur. The registers containing such records in Russia are the Unified State Register of Legal Entities (USRLE) and the Unified State Register of Individual Entrepreneurs (USRIE).

Under the previous procedure for establishing a legal entity, registration was confirmed by a certificate of registration along with a certificate of entry confirming the fact that the information was entered on the register. Since the beginning of 2017, the USRLE will issue only an entry sheet for the entities being created; the issuing of previous certificates confirming state registration has been brought to an end. A similar procedure will apply to individuals who are registered as individual entrepreneurs.

Another change has been the introduction of new forms by the Federal Tax Service for the USRLE and USRIE records (forms P50007 and P60009 respectively) with the only difference from the previous forms being the absence of fields for seals (Russian companies are generally required to use stamps bearing their company’s seal).
