Dmitry Uryakin gives his support to a Supreme Court decision

The Russian Supreme Court reminded courts at lower instances of the importance of ensuring correspondence is served on the parties to court proceedings within the required time frames, so as to ensure parties do not lose their rights to resolve any issues or inadequacies in documentation.

Associate at Maxima Legal, Dmitry Uryakin endorsed the Court’s position. “It is well known that leaving a claim without motion provides the claimant with additional time to remedy any shortcomings that are identified. It is also obvious that the claimant cannot fix everything in three days. The courts of first instance and appeal simply deprived the applicant of the right to a defence”, commented Dmitry to the legal news website Pravo.ru.
