Specifically for the Legal Insight law magazine Maxim Ali, Partner, Head of Intellectual Property and Information Technologies practice at Maxima Legal, and Dmitry Uryakin, Lawyer at Maxima Legal, told about the evaluation of the legal clarity of software and other copyright objects received from developers and contractors.

“When registering and acquiring rights to intellectual property created by employees and contractors, risks associated with the “purity” of rights to the results of intellectual activity should be considered. Such risks may be associated with a ban on further use of the result of intellectual activity, collection of compensation, the need to publish a court decision on the violation”.
