Maxim Avrashkov has discussed with RBC scenarios for unblocking Russian investors’ accounts with European depositories

Russian investors were cut off from their securities in spring. In early June, the EU imposed sanctions against the National Settlement Depository (NSD), which legitimised the previous restrictions and increased investors’ fears. Maxim Avrashkov, Managing Partner at Maxima Legal, told RBC about the reasons for the blockage and possible ways to gain access to the assets.
