Maxim Ali has provided his comments on the introduction of robots in the legal services market

Business newspaper, Delovoy Peterburg, has published the comments of Senior Associate at Maxima Legal and Specialist in IP/IT, Maxim Ali on the topic of Legal Tech. Maxim considered the prospect for the legal services market following the introduction of ‘robot-lawyers’ which make use of artificial intelligence to respond to frequently asked questions from users. The service was launched at the end of 2017 and so far has provided more than 2,000 consultations.

Maxim Ali noted that the development of technology will lead to the appearance of highly-specialised firms. “Technology is changing the legal services market, reducing the number of routine tasks which lawyers must complete. Increasing the number of robots will reduce the number of lawyers but will also result in the development of highly-specialised firms, as has taken place in the West”, concluded Maxim.
