Olga Novinskaya, junior associate of IP/IT Practice at Maxima Legal has written to ILN IP Insider and LexBlog international legal blogs an article about the most significant Russian news in the field of personal data regulation.

In particular, the expert spoke about the draft laws to combat abuses in the collection of consumer personal data, reducing a number of consent to the processing of personal data, as well as ten times toughening of an administrative liability for disclosure of information to which access is restricted. In addition, Olga considered the decision of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, which determined the jurisdiction of claims for personal data protection.
