The VIII Siberian Legal Week (SibLegalWeek) was held in Novosibirsk on 3-8 October and focused on legal aspects and business development opportunities in the current environment. The business-forum featured more than 40 events covering all the areas of legal support for businesses as well as private client support issues.

Maxim Ali, Partner, Head of IP/IT Practice at Maxima Legal, spoke at the session “Intellectual Property in the Import Substitution Process – Various Aspects” on how to deal with the parasitization of goods or entire businesses in the context of massive withdrawal of foreign companies from Russia and redistribution of markets. The expert also discussed with representatives of innovative businesses the specifics of legal consulting from a lawyer and a client perspective.

SibLegalWeek was organized by the Government of the Novosibirsk region, the Association of Lawyers of Russia (NLR), the law firm Yuskonsult and the Intellectual Rights Protection Agency INKO. Among the participants of the event are leading law firms, as well as representatives of business and state institutions.
