Kirill Katkov explained to Vecherny Petersburg in which cases automated calls to clients are permissible
The newspaper Vecherny Petersburg has drawn attention to the growing number of automated calls from various companies. Most of them are advertising calls. The use of voice robots for such calls is legal only if the client has given his consent to be offered advertising.
At the same time, as noted by Kirill Katkov, an Associate at Maxima Legal, ‘calling customers with the help of a robot that does not pursue the purpose of advertising a product/service (in particular, calls to conduct marketing research, to inform customers about the goods/services they have ordered, about changes in the terms of services under previously concluded contracts, etc.) is allowed’.
