Dmitry Uryakin has provided a retrospective of the Russian Supreme Court’s decisions for Pravo.ru

The Russian Supreme Court recently issued a decision in favour of a family which the authorities wanted to relocated from a dilapidated house to a smaller apartment. The authorities had suggested that the new living conditions would not be worse and from a safety point of view, would be better than the family’s current living arrangements. Dmitry Uryakin, Associate at Maxima Legal, helped Pravo.ru to investigate precedents in cases involving evicting people from dilapidated housing, and noted that the Supreme Court was not taking a new position in its judgment.
