The Federal Law of 27 July 2006 No. 152-FZ on Personal Data (‘the Law on Personal Data’) came into effect more than 15 years ago. However, changes to legislation in the sphere of data protection are still being introduced at a rapid rate. The past two years demonstrate a general tightening of data protection regulation, particularly in relation to the requirements and responsibilities of data operators.
