According to research, the digitalisation of the economy can increase Russia’s GDP by almost a third in the coming years. According to Maxima Ali, Head of the IP/IT Practice at Maxima Legal, the development of the digital economy does not require special legislation, moreover, excessive lawmaking only leads to overregulated markets. “State regulation (in the form in which it is being constructed now) often complicates the relations of market participants. For some, for example, the threshold for entering the market is being intentionally raised”, Maxim commented to Kommersant.
