Sergei Bakeshin has commented on claims filed by the Sinyavinsky poultry farm against its former top managers

Sergei Bakeshin - Counsel

The largest egg producer in Russia, the Sinyavinsky poultry farm, and its Volkhov Feed Mill filed claims against the former owner of the enterprise, Nikita Melnikov and his son, Oleg Melnikov, who served as general director. The total value of claims against Oleg Melnikov is almost 883 million roubles, and in the dispute with Nikita Melnikov, the claimant expects to invalidate the contract of sale of certain shares.

The Head of the Dispute Resolution and Insolvency practice at Maxima Legal, Sergei Bakeshin, suggested that since the claims against Nikita Melnikov did not include any co-defendants or third parties, then we can talk about the invalidity of the contracts for the sale of shares of the Sinyavinsky poultry farm and Feed Mill. If the claims against Nikita Melnikov are approve, then he will have to return the funds received from the buyer of the shares, Sergey explained to the Kommersant newspaper.
