Sergei Bakeshin has provided his comments on the situation with RBC regarding the insolvency of large agricultural holding companies

Sberbank has filed for the insolvency of three enterprises and the head structure of the Zhivoye Moloko, which owed a total of almost 77 million rubles to the bank. Previously, the enterprises were part of the Phaeton holding, one of the most well-known vertically integrated companies in St Petersburg, which was declared insolvent in 2011.

Given the background, insolvency of companies cannot be ruled out, Sergei Bakeshin, Head of Dispute Resolution and Insolvency practice at Maxima Legal, explained to RBC Petersburg.

Maxima Legal represented the interests of one of the largest Russian banks in the insolvency case of Phaeton-Aero and other companies that were part of the Phaeton group.
