For the second year in a row Kommersant has included Maxima Legal in its list of the leaders in the legal services market in Russia

According to the results of 2019, Kommersant included Maxima Legal in 11 categories in its annual rating ‘Leaders of the Legal Services Market’.

Maxima Legal was listed as one of the leading law firms in the PPP market and was included in the list of 15 firms recommended in this area. In addition, for the first time, the Private Wealth practice, as well as Corporate and Tax law practices, were ranked. Kommersant included Maxima Legal as a leader in its second band of the Corporate Law: M&A for Russian mid-market category,  and also included in the lists of best law firms in the areas of Corporate law: Mergers and Acquisitions of international mid-market assets, Family law: disputes over inherited assets and Tax law: consulting on tax legislation.

Maxima Legal retained its strong positions in the areas of Private Capital and Transport and Logistics, and was also recognised as one of the three firms with expertise in the field of art and cultural law.

Natalia Demina, Head of Private Wealth Practice, was listed in the Individual Lawyers rating – Natalia was included in the top five leading experts in the field of Family and Probate and Private Capital, and also headed the list of the best Russian lawyers in the field of art and cultural law.

‘Leaders of the Legal Services Market’  is published annually by Kommersant and follows a multi-stage study and analysis of the best practices of leading legal players with recommendations on specific areas of legal service. The study of the legal services market for a calendar year is carried out on the basis of analysing information from various sources, among them the evaluation of law firms’ matters, the expertise of Kommersant journalists and the opinions of professionals in the market – high-ranking employees of corporate legal departments of large companies, holding companies and corporations.
