Family law services

The services that Maxima Legal offers in family law matters include advising and assisting clients prior to marrying, during a marriage, and at the stage of divorce, including in divorce proceedings, drafting nuptial contracts and property sharing agreements covering corporate and international assets.

Our lawyers specialise in family law and when necessary work in a team with specialists in corporate, international, tax, and probate law, which allows us to efficiently and comprehensively identify solutions to client problems.

Our activities cover the following areas of family law:

Advice on personal non-property and property issues;
Analysis of the structure of assets, identifying possible problems and risks. Advice on the division of property in case of divorce;
Structuring of assets;
Drafting nuptial agreements and organising notarial certification.
Assisting with the recovery in court of maintenance for children.
Advising on and representing client’s in divorce proceedings, on the division of property, on disputes on the recognition of marriage contracts as invalid, their amendment or dissolution in court;
Advising and representing the client in court on the most sensitive issues of marriage and family relations: determining the place of residence of minor children, agreements on upbringing and contact, establishing paternity and the removing of parental rights;
Legal support with agreeing maintenance, including outside of court proceedings. Drafting maintenance agreements – changing the size of child support through the courts;
Advising and assisting with ensuring compliance with court decisions on family matters.
