Anastasia Samusenko has discussed the introduction of electronic voting in JSCs/LLCs on the pages of EJ-Jurist magazine
JSCs/LLCs have been granted the right to hold general meetings of shareholders/participants remotely and to sign voting ballots with a simple electronic signature when adopting a decision at a general meeting. The technical side of this procedure, namely the requirements for verification of a simple electronic signature when signing ballots, is to be determined by the government, which has prepared the relevant draft decree.
At the request of EJ-Jurist magazine, Anastasia Samusenko, Senior Associate at Maxima Legal, discussed the need to introduce innovations in the process of holding general meetings and mechanisms to protect against lawsuits challenging the results of electronic voting.
