Anastasia Samusenko has explained to DP whether the seizure of corporate assets of a former Gazprom top manager would hit a large bank
The Frunzensky District Court of St Petersburg has registered a lawsuit filed by the Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation against Kirill Seleznev, CEO of RusChemAlliance and former top manager of Gazprom, and Alexei Mityushov, former head of Gazprom Energo. According to the prosecutor’s office, the businessmen gained access to shares and stakes in a number of companies through corrupt means. At the same time, six affiliated legal entities, including Sevinvest LLC, have been declared defendants. The company owns 33.2% of Finservice Bank and is 100% controlled by Alexei Mityushov, who also directly owns 15.8% of the bank.
However, Anastasia Samusenko, Senior Associate at Maxima Legal, explained to Delovoy Peterburg newspaper the risks for the credit organisation are rather indirect and depend on the extent to which the trial will be covered in the press, and the greatest consequences for shareholders will entail the court decision.
