Anastasia Samusenko has commented for Novy Prospect on the change of ownership of Solomensky timber plant

Mikhail Pitkevich, owner of the group ‘ASPEC’, has changed the ownership scheme of Solomensky timber plant located in Karelia. He left direct ownership of the enterprise and now acts as its owner through one of his companies.

Anastasia Samusenko, Senior Associate at Maxima Legal, explained to Novy Prospect publication that the timber plant was transferred into the possession of a company whose shares in the authorised capital have been pledged since 2023. ‘That is, the beneficiaries have essentially placed these assets under encumbrance (unless, of course, they were previously under a similar encumbrance). In that case, we can assume that this was done as a result of some arrangements with Sberbank concerning the credit relations of the parties,’ Anastasia commented.
