Kommersant newspaper, RBC and Novy Prospect quoted Sergei Bakeshin’s opinion on the seriousness of Alfa-Bank’s intention to bankrupt Tochka Zreniya opticians’ chain
Alfa-Bank has filed a bankruptcy petition against Tochka Zreniya SPb LLC , which manages the eponymous chain of 22 opticians in St Petersburg and Moscow. The amount of claims is RUB 65.3 mn. This is not the first case between Alfa-Bank and Tochka Zreniya in this year; earlier the bank had already obtained a court decision to recover more than RUB 63 mn from the defendant.
According to Kommersant’s sources, Tochka Zreniya’s problems are related to both the general market situation and its high debt load. Sergei Bakeshin, Counsel, Head of Dispute Resolution a& Insolvency practice at Maxima Legal, noted that the bank’s readiness to settle the dispute may depend not only on the company’s financial situation, but also on its good faith in the previous period. The opinion of the expert was quoted by Kommersant newspaper and RBC.
