The right to information is one of the basic rights for a shareholder of participants of LLCs and shareholders of JSCs. In order to clarify special situations related to its realisation, the Presidium of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation has summarised judicial practice in 19 paragraphs of the Review on corporate disputes on the provision of information by companies. Among them are the issues of determining the circle of persons entitled to receive information (former participants of LLCs and shareholders of JSCs, their heirs) and provision of information, including confidential information (its volume, form, good faith of a participant (shareholder).

On the request of EJ-Jurist magazine Natalia Diatlova, Partner, Head of Corporate Practice at Maxima Legal, has analysed the Review.
