The current year is characterised by significant changes in legislation adopted to support citizens and businesses in the face of sanctions. Nikita Deynega, Senior Associate and Head of Tax & Administrative Law practice at Maxima Legal, told Vecherniy Peterburg newspaper about innovations in taxation he considers as the most important.

According to the expert, the most significant changes in taxation in 2022 are, of course, benefits. “Interest on deposits, material benefit of individuals were exempted from taxation, the possibility of tax-free forgiveness of debt of Russian companies to foreign creditors was provided”, Nikita explained to the media.
