Kommersant has quoted Dmitry Uryakin’s commentary on the conditions for cancellation of trademark protection

Darnitsa Group, the third largest bakery products manufacturer in St Petersburg, is suing Aston Agroholding, which produces vegetable oil, for the right to use the Zateya trademark. In September last year, Darnitsa Group applied for registration of the brand of the same name in the same class of goods (bakery products).

Kommersant newspaper quoted the comment of Dmitry Uryakin, Senior Associate at Maxima Legal to Novy Prospect online puvlishing, that to retain the rights to the trademark the defendant needs to prove their use for labelling bakery products for the last three years.
