Robert Houchill, Associate at Maxima Legal, has written an article for Forbes Russia on the recent law passed in New Zealand. The new legislation introduced significant restrictions on foreign buyers purchasing property in New Zealand, which includes banning the purchase of certain homes by most foreign buyers who are not resident in New Zealand. The legislation was passed following substantial rises in home prices which was partly attributed to the presence of foreign buyers.
