Sergei Bakeshin has commented for the DP on bankruptcy with total creditor claims exceeding 2.7 billion roubles

On Thursday 11th of February Golden Baby LLC bankruptcy hearing will be held. Bankruptcy proceedings have been instituted against the company at the initiative of Alfa Bank with the total amount of the debtor’s claims exceeding 2.7 billion roubles.

As Sergei Bakeshin, head of dispute resolution and insolvency practice at Maxima Legal, explained to the Delovoy Peterburg newspaper, the procedure has reached the finish line, and as Golden Baby has no property, creditors can only count on the acquisition of claims against other bankrupts in its bankruptcy case. “All the main steps of the case have already been taken.In particular, the transaction with Alfa Bank has been contested and the debtor’s controlling persons, who themselves are in bankruptcy, have been brought to subsidiary liability,” the expert explained.
