The bank is seeking bankruptcy proceedings against other group companies – Eliseev Palace Hotel CJSC, which owes it 5.5 billion rubles, and Talion JSC, a guarantor on this loan.

The trigger for VEB.RF’s actions could have been JSC Talion’s bankruptcy petition filed by Bank Saint Petersburg in January, Sergei Bakeshin, head of Maxima Legal’s dispute resolution and insolvency practice, suggested.
