Maxima Legal experts took part in the first Baltic Legal Masters Forum, which took place from 20 to 22 April in St Petersburg.

Maxim Ali, Head of IP/IT practice at Maxima Legal, spoke about SMS codes and other electronic signatures in court practice, outlining the problems faced by businesses and consumers and whether there is any protection against fraudsters.

Nikita Deynega, Head of Tax and Administrative Law Practice at Maxima Legal, discussed with the forum participants a general algorithm for assessing transactions for tax abuse.

Natalia Diatlova, Head of Corporate practice at Maxima Legal, analysed the Government Commission approvals as a key element of international M&A transactions in Russia.

The forum was attended by more than 300 people from all over the country. Among the participants were representatives of leading law firms, inhouse lawyers, attorneys, notaries, employees of government authorities and relevant ministries, business owners and top management.
