The Human Resources Committee of the St Petersburg International Business Association (SPIBA) held a webinar “Overview of key changes in labour legislation and practice for HR”. During the event association`s experts discussed changes in labour and migration legislation, new rules for employee reduction, specifics of remote work from abroad and a number of other issues.

Maxim Ali, Partner and Head of IP/IT Practice at Maxima Legal, spoke about the practical aspects of implementing the new requirements of personal data legislation. The expert outlined the main changes that came into force in 2022, explained the peculiarities of cross-border data transfer in the current environment, assessed the main challenges of 2023 and shared recommendations on working with personal data, which will help to avoid large fines.
