Maxima Legal and SPIBA have organised a seminar titled ‘In the circle of trust – comprehensive data security for companies

On 5 December took place a seminar organised by Maxima Legal and the international business association SPIBA on the topic of data protection. Protecting corporate networks from viruses and spam, cybercriminals, reducing potential internal fraud, repelling DDoS attacks and attempts to steal confidential information are just a part of the task of protecting data which every company, from big corporations to online shops, must deal with.
With an understanding of the issues at hand, the speakers highlighted the problems both from a legal and technical point of view.
Maxim Ali, Senior Associate at Maxima Legal and expert on IP/IT matters, talked about compliance with corporate IT systems and the activities of companies in accordance with the requirements of regulators.
Maxim put particular emphasis on the legal mechanisms to protect confidential data internally, explained how to protect commercially value data and also how to avoid infringing the rights of others.
Dmitry Popovich, Marketing Director at Cezurity, focused on contemporary threats to corporate networks from hackers and the methods to protect these.
This theme was continued by the General Director of Fast Lane, Vladimir Knyazhitsky, as he talked about threats that exist at the moment for organisations and how to fight against these.

Aliya Rakhmatullina, Senior Specialist for the Department of Data Security at MTS, shared with participants of the seminar information about MTS’s positive experience of implementing a Security Operation Centre.
