Sergey Bakeshin has taken part in the Insolvency 2018 conference

On 21 March, Delovoy Peterburg together with Fedresurs, Interfax and the International Insolvency Institute organised the second regional academic and professional conference Insolvency 2018.

Senior Associate, Head of the Corporate and Dispute Resolution Practices at Maxima Legal, Sergey Bakeshin gave a speech as part of the session titled ‘Court process and conducting arbitration’. As part of his discussion on the problems and interesting procedural issues in the insolvency proceedings for companies and bankruptcy of individuals, Sergey talked about the so-called ‘zero insolvency procedure’.

In particular, Sergey commented on the strategy and tactics used to petition for insolvency/bankruptcy and for courts to review the validity of the grounds of the petition and the methods to counter potential abuse of procedure.
