Sergei Bakeshin commented for Novy Prospect the bankruptcy of “Rybstandart” company

The Aquaculture Breeding Center (ABC) has filed a bankruptcy petition against “Rybstandart” LLC, the biggest trout manufacturer in Leningrad Region. According to the experts the amount of claims is more than 7 million rubles. In 2016 “Rybstandart” has become a part of “Bioresource” Holding that belonged to the former manager of The OFK Bank Segrey Kuznetsov. In 2018 The OFK Bank received a lawsuit on clandestine dealings with clients’ money. In particular the ex-president of the OFK Bank was accused of issuing unprovided loans to companies from “Bioresource” Holding. As a result, due to requisition of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation the assets of “Rybstandart” and ABC were arrested.

Commenting the situation with “Rybstandart” bankruptcy, Sergei Bakeshin, Head of Dispute Resolution and Insolvency practice at Maxima Legal, supposed that “most likely, there used to be close business ties between “Rybstandart” and ABC. However the long-term dusputes between these two companies can indicate that the counterparties are not affiliated”.
