Maxim Ali, Partner and Head of IP/IT Practice at Maxima Legal, in the programme “Where’s the Money?” on TV channel “78”, discussed with Igor Pavlovsky, Editor-in-Chief of Delovoy Petersburg newspaper, the growing popularity of online commerce, the place of marketplaces in it, and ways for brands and buyers to protect themselves from counterfeit goods.

In particular, Maxim reminded that in order to fight counterfeits, the seller should be interested in developing relations with the marketplace, and the buyer should complain, for example, to the marketplace itself or to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which is also responsible for searching for non-original goods.
