On 30 January 2018 the Russian Guild of Managers and Developers together with the company Hosptiality Management organised a roundtable event titled ‘The forms of hospitality: is it possible to start again?’. The discussion, which took place in the Lotte St Petersburg hotel, was attended by hoteliers and representatives from developers from the hospitality sector.

Konstantin Boytsov, Senior Associate and Head of the Property and Construction department at Maxima Legal, talked about recent changes to legislation regulating tourism in Russia on the topic of introducing a compulsory classification of hotels.
