Maxima Legal has widened its cooperation with the regions in the PPP sector

Maxima Legal has become a legal consultant for the Novosibirsk region and the Republic of Bashkortostan in PPP matters and for large-scale infrastructure projects. The agreements were signed at the end of April as part of PPP Week.

The cooperation is focused on improving the investment client in the regions and developing of PPP projects. In particular, lawyers from Maxima Legal will prepare amendments to improve regional legislation in the PPP sphere taking in account international standards as well as leading Russian and foreign practice. Furthermore, lawyers will provide an assessment of a wide range of potential, prepared and implemented projects on the terms of PPP in the social and transport sectors.

“PPP projects continue to gain popularity since budget finances are being reduced whilst at the same time the demand for infrastructure is constantly growing and the regions need new infrastructure projects. At the same time, PPP is a reliable and flexible mechanism to achieve difficult capital-intensive projects in the public infrastructure sectors, which is particularly relevant now in the regions”, commented Partner and Head of the PPP Practice at Maxima Legal, Natalia Diatlova.

In addition to Novosibirsk region and the Republic of Bashkortostan, Maxima Legal advises St Petersburg, Krasnodar, Leningrad, Tula, Novgorod, Murmansk and Yaroslavl regions.
