Nikita Deinega has joined the jury of the Tax Live annual educational competition on Russian taxation

Nikita Deinega, Counsel, Head of Tax & Administrative Law Practice at Maxima Legal, acted as a judge for the sixth time at the annual Russian taxation training competition organised by the Tax Live. Law Live.

This year, in the course of a difficult struggle, the team from Moscow’s RUDN University  the competition, beating in the final the team from National Research University Higher School of Economics in St Petersburg. On behalf of Maxima Legal, Nikita traditionally awarded a special prize – a trip to St Petersburg – to one of the winning team members.

The Russian taxation competition “Tax Live” has been organised since 2016 and includes pre-selection, preparation of written positions and oral presentations in the form of an imaginary dispute (moot court) between a taxpayer and a tax authority. The participants of the competition are students, undergraduates and postgraduates of higher education institutions, who can use the assistance of consultants (teachers and legal practitioners). Among the jury members are recognised tax experts, including those who have gained fame as judges of the commercial court system.
