Maxim Ali, Senior Associate at Maxima Legal, has taken part in a discussion on anti-monopoly regulation

On 15 February, following an initiative of the Legal Committee of SPIBA, a meeting took place with the management of the St Petersburg Federal Anti-monopoly Service. As part of the event, participants considered examples of unfair competition and lawful promotion.

Maxim Ali focused on things that should be avoided in advertising. Using real examples from advertising campaigns, Maxim explored the practice of criticising competitors and their activities, exploiting recognised logos and using the trademarks of others. As part of his presentation, Maxim Ali also proposed an alternative forms using which such advertisements could comply with the law.
